Inaugural Annual Sport Challenge:  Hardrok Engineering versus SatinTouch

SatinTouch were the inaugural winners this year at our inter-company Annual Sport Challenge at the 2018 Golf Day, held at Mount Isa Golf Club. It was a great day – with lots of laughs on the course and a delicious lunch held over presentations.

Hardrok’s new rep at CNW

We’ve had a change of guard representing our Hardrok membership at Commerce North West with Danielle Burns (far left) taking on the role of Committee Secretary. We thank Kristy Moore for her great support as our former rep, who stepped down from the role this year. We look forward to continuing our support of the chamber and the CNW business community in 2019! (image credit: The North West Star 20181109)

Our New Boiler Is Here & Being Commissioned

We have installed this larger unit to improve curing times and quality of the finished product. The larger diesel fired boiler also gives us the capacity to work on atmospheric cures for larger more complex jobs.

Our Autoclave Is Here, Installed & Commissioned,

It has a capacity of 6.5 x 2.2 that should be capable of handling most hot lining situations within our area. Using hot rubber will provide superior bond strength and cheaper solutions to all rubber lining needs. We can now provide more cost effective ways to reline/line existing equipment and provide innovative products to solve problems we haven’t heard of yet.

Staff Changes

We have been changing some staff around to provide better service to our customers:

  • Mathew Gow has joined our team in the Rubber Lining Division. Mathew has many years of experience in many areas and is well known within the district. Mat has been out and about on site belt splicing and in the workshop, busy lining pipes and tanks.
  • We are still training people so they can perform a multitude of tasks for all of the mines and businesses in the area

Rubber Lining Division

The rubber liners have been lining pipes and chutes and vulcanising distributors and pipes as well as relagging conveyor drums.
